We Purchased our VW Transporter camper in mid November from Crowther after looking at many other dealers for a van to suit our needs and preference of a semi auto gearbox with low milage, the VW that we found at Crowther and discussed with Mathew was perfect and had just completed the brand new internal fit out which is stunning with contrasting upholstery to accompany the units and worktops. the fact that the fitout was brand new in a low mileage VW camper was a winner as it had never been used as a camper previously.
The service and assistance from Mathew was excellent and professional and we were never pressured at anytime of the process and we also had a wind out awning fitted at our request and was completed in time for our collection.
As i had to retire early on health grounds the VW is perfect for getting days out for my wife and myself not forgetting the dog of course, we have had runs to the coast and round about the Borders and we can just stop anywhere for a cup of tea or a wee snooze if required as the equipment is easy to set up and dismantle quickly and in the event of getting caught short the wee WC is ideal! and nights away planned in the better weather.
I would recommend anyone looking for a smaller type camper that you can also use as an everyday vehicle then the VW Camper is the one along with Crowther Lodge to suit your needs with a great sales service from the team.

We purchased our camper van a couple of months ago and can honestly say the whole experience was outstanding. Both Paul and Mathew were great, giving information when required but not pushy at all.
We visited a couple of times before we decided what we were actually looking for and they couldn't be more helpful, even after purchasing the camper Matty was happy to hold the vehicle until I had the driveway altered ( 3 weeks).
We have been away a few times now in the camper and have had no issues . I have rang Matty a couple of times for advice on using equipment in the van and he has been more than happy to help.

I have just bought my first VW Transporter from Crowther Lodge and from stepping into the showroom to the hand over of the van we found it professional and very impressive. The salesman Mathew Walmsley left us to look around all the different vans without being pushy but when I wanted any info he was so helpful. I would definitely be using them again when I do want to upgrade the van for a newer model and would not hesitate to recommend them to any of my friends and family.

Don't normally do reviews but have to mention crowther motors.
I purchased an audi a4 quattro from Mathew @ crowther.
Must say how professional the whole process was from start to finish.
Car had few small blemishes which were taken care of no problem.
Crowther added 3mths warranty free which is great for peace of mind in 2nd hand motoring. 12mths mot and service.
All in all simply excellent from 1st call to purchase.
Only had car for a wk but has been superb. Never missed a beat from Newcastle up to home in Edinburgh.
Deffo worth a visit as had lots of quality used cars on site which are easily £2k less than would be in Scotland.

Bought an Audi A6 from this company. Trading a BMW 530 GT. Literally the day before handover, the BMW came up with a chassis alert. The company refused to deal with the garage who had previously worked on the car but were excellent in their approach to the situation. They arranged for the car to go to a specialist garage to be sorted and allowed be to take the Audi as planned due to commitments I had.. The Audi was turned out in top class condition and is a delight to drive. The salesman, Lee, was very helpful throughout, chasing up service history and worked well to get the deal right. I'm surprised by some of the old reviews as I don't recognise that as the dealer I bought my car from. I purchased a BMW320D Convertible from them about a week ago and I'm really pleased with the service I got from Ian. The car was well prepared but I noticed a few scuff marks on the leather, they got a tradesman in to refurbish it and he did a really great job. They delivered the car down to Wetherby but would have brought it to my home, saving me a 100 mile drive. I got a good price for my trade in, £300 more than Evans Halshaw next door and even their staff acknowledged that Crowther were a good dealership.

So, in a total rush as our previous car went bust, we had to look for a car and fast! We looked everywhere and couldn't find anything right for us but found a fantastic car on eBay. Firstly we were amazed by the description of the car and price and then seeing that it was a dealership! We were on the phone to Crowther lodge motor company straight away. We live all the way in Birmingham, we were never thinking about travelling 3-4 hours away to buy a car but it was too good to miss. The gentleman we spoke to, Ian , was fantastic from the start, he told us everything about the car even the small details such as very minor chips on the vehicle. He really went above and beyond for us. He stayed behind for us as we live so far away and we were worried that we wouldn't get there on time. Fortunately we didn't arrive too late after closing time but he was very understanding and patient with us (considering he was due to be at a family birthday party!) which we were very greatful for and stayed behind to go through the paperwork when buying the car and making sure everything was ready even down to the tax. We were extremely greatful. Ian even called up to make sure we got home ok the next day and letting us know himself that the rest of the paperwork was in the post. The car is brilliant and we couldn't be happier. Obviously driving that far is a risk to buy a car but we felt reassured from the beginning thanks to Ian. When we had called up a few other times the rest of the team were extremely helpful and friendly. I would highly recommend this company. Absolutely lovely staff and you won't regret a purchase, we got a 3 month warranty on the car we purchased and decided to go for the 12 month warranty which helps us sleep at night knowing if anything goes wrong we can get it sorted and even considering how far away we live, we wouldn't have to travel back up to get it sorted. A big thank you to the Crowther Lodge Motor team and a big shout out to Ian, it meant a lot to us!

The first time I saw the Porsche was when I came up to drive it home, 150 miles and I bought a one way ticket such was my confidence in the way they handled the car and description. For a relatively cheap car (certainly one of the lowest cost Porsches they sell) I almost felt guilty at the level of service allocated to my sale. No hard sell and as long a test as I wanted sealed the deal, I extended the RAC cover that was included and went on my way. My Cayenne is a very good car and I think I have a great deal which is satisfying, I couldnt find one locally but after the way they described and discussed the car I had no qualms with a long distance deal. When i arrived 'jack' who i spoke to on the phone was busy, with another customer, but i was immediatly greeted with ryan who allowed me to veiw the car at my own pace. Once i was happy ryan was at hand to answer any questions i had on the car.

I'd like to thank Morgan for the no Bull sales technique. I'd been in a couple of months back and had a change of mind before returning last week after a change of circumstances. After discussing in great detail and weighing up my options, I traded up for a BMW 3 series coupe and in less than four hours it was parked on my drive!!! And there was no pushy sales pitch either. After collection I enquired to Morgan about getting the seat bolster (very minor wear as you'd expect in a used car) repaired and what the cost would be. Next thing I know the phones ringing to book it in at no extra cost. And on arrival I even had a courtesy car waiting for me while the work was undertaken. Morgan looked after everything from taxing the car to even doing my plate transfer from my old motor, which were on the car when I returned to collect it. Can't knock the service. And also would like to thank Jack for helping get my old car to the dealership too. Saved me half a day of hassle for me.
Would also like to thank them for providing me with the cleaning kit too. Can't beat a shiny car!!!

What a difference he made compared to other dealerships really going the extra mile. After 50yrs of buying motor cars I thought I had heard all the sales line that was going (some for years) but a car that I was interested in was at Crowther Lodge I first spotted this car browsing Auto Trader the site is well presented and the photos are in focus, take note other sites so I and the family went off to look I had of course priced my old car over the net and priced the one I had an interest in. On arrival I saw the VW out side walked over and had a good look around, I then went to the office and met Gary who took me back to the car for a further look during this time no sales patter just a general conversation we then discussed the car I was part exchanging was offered a slightly higher price than the net - again no pressure just an honest conversation about what the company could offer me. Gary and I spent a great deal of time exploring various credit arrangements he could obtain for me so decided to purchase the car I then got a real surprise with the deal Gary had set up I would have a years warranty yes you read that right a years warranty this was never made a selling point I then arranged to pick the car up.
I made the decision to purchase me alone have I said no pressure!!
On arrival at the garage to collect Gary was unavailable so we met another of the sales team Mike who was just as pleasant as Gary and when I explained I would pay cash instead of credit he took me through the procedure just as Gary had done, again Mike was a pleasure to deal with with both of these staff. My family and I were treated like customers, not like cash cows as other garages have done so in the past. Have I found an honest company that values its customer base rather than a quick profit? I certainly think so.

I seldom share my thoughts and opinions but after the exceptional service I received from Crowther Lodge Motor Company, others should enjoy the experience.

Buying a used car can often be a chore, but from the inital telephone call through to delivery was by far the best I have ever received. The sales staff were friendly, helpful and knowledgable without being pushy, the vehicle I purchased was immaculately presented and I really enjoyed the whole process - it was slick and professional.

I cannot speak highly enough of the company and without hesitation would recommend anyone to buy their next used car from them.

Had I read earlier reviews prior to buying my car I may have changed my mind. But I really couldn't fault them, I needed a car in a hurry, they had a 7 year old Honda I wanted, a price was agreed , car was already good to go so I was on my way in an hour.
